Insulating glass is composed of two or more layers of plate glass. Around with high strength and high air tightness composite binder, two or more pieces of glass and sealing strips, glass strips bonding, sealing. The middle is filled with dry gas, and the frame is filled with desiccant to ensure the dryness of the air between the glass plates. Can choose according to the requirements of a variety of different performance of the original glass, such as colorless transparent float glass embossed glass, heat absorption glass, heat reflection glass, wire glass, tempered glass and frame (aluminum frame or glass strip, etc.), made by cementation, welding or fusion.
Its structure is shown in the double-layer insulating glass section. Insulating glass can be used 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 mm thick sheet glass, air layer thickness can be used 6, 9, 12 mm interval.
(1) The technical requirements of insulating glass are summarized as follows:
1) material
A. Glass can be flat glass, laminated glass, embossed glass, heat-absorbing glass, coated heat-reflecting glass, tempered glass, etc.
B. The sealant should meet the following requirements. The color difference between the first and second sealant components should be clear; Valid for more than half a year; Hidden frame curtain wall with the second sealant must be silicone sealant; The performance requirements of insulating glass must be met.
C. Spacer: Aluminum spacer must be decontaminated and anodized.
D. The quality, specification and performance of desiccant must meet the requirements of insulating glass manufacturing and performance.
② The length and width of insulating glass allowable deviation table.
Allowable deviation of length or width (mm)
< 1000 + 2
1000-2000 + / - 2.5
> 2000-2500-3
③ The allowable thickness deviation of insulating glass is shown in the table.
Nominal thickness of glass (mm) Permissible deviation (mm)
6 or less < 18 + / - 1
18 to 25 + / - 1.5
6 > > 25 + 2
Note: The nominal thickness of insulating glass is the sum of the thickness of two pieces of glass and the thickness of the spacer.
(4) The allowable deviation of two diagonal lines of insulating glass is shown in the table.
Diagonal length (mm) Permissible deviation (mm)
< 10004
P. 1000-25006
The width of insulating glass sealant: the width of single sealing rubber layer should be calculated and determined, its minimum width is 10±2mm, the width of double sealing outer sealant should be calculated and determined, its minimum width is 5-7mm.
⑥ Appearance: the inner surface of insulating glass shall not have dirt and adhesive splash that hinder perspective.
Performance requirements: insulating glass sealing, dew point, ultraviolet radiation, climate cycle and high temperature, high humidity performance according to GB7020 test, must meet the requirements of the following table.
· When the test pressure is lower than the environmental pressure of 10± 0.5kpa, the thickness increase must be ≥ 0.8mm. When the pressure is maintained at 2.5, the thickness increase deviation <15% is leakage. All samples are not allowed to have leakage
· Dew point Reduce the temperature of the dew point meter to ≤-40 degrees, and make the dew point meter contact the sample surface for 3 minutes without condensation or frost on the inner surface of all the samples
· Ultraviolet irradiation The inner surface of the sample shall not have traces of fog and pollution after 168h ultraviolet irradiation
· The climate cycle and high temperature and high humidity test went through 320 cycles, and the high temperature and high humidity test went through 224 cycles. Dew point test was conducted after the test. A total of 12 samples, at least 11 without condensation or frost
When insulating glass is selected for hidden frame curtain wall, the second sealant of insulating glass must be made of silicone sealant, and compatible with the sealant used for structural glass assembly, that is, they must use mutually compatible sealant. When structural assembly uses a silicone sealant, it is best to order insulating glass sealant layer with the same plant silicone sealant.
(2) Insulating glass performance
The thermal conductivity of glass is 27 times higher than that of air, so as long as the insulating glass is sealed, the insulating glass has the best insulation effect. Table 4-33 lists the optical properties of insulating glass. Table 4-34 shows the optical performance comparison of double-layer insulating glass. Table 4-35 shows the thermal insulation performance of insulating glass. Table 4-36 lists the noise levels. Table 4-37 shows the sound insulation performance of insulating glass.
(3) Characteristics of insulating glass
There is a certain cavity between the glass and the glass of insulating glass. Therefore, it has good thermal insulation, heat insulation, sound insulation and other properties. If the glass is filled with a variety of diffuse light materials or dielectric, you can get better sound control, light control, heat insulation and other effects.
(4) The use of insulating glass
Insulating glass is mainly used in buildings that need heating, air conditioning, noise or condensation protection, and need no direct sunlight and special light. Widely used in homes, restaurants, hotels, office buildings, schools, hospitals, shops and other occasions that need indoor air conditioning. It can also be used for doors and Windows of trains, cars, ships, refrigerated cabinets, etc.
Insulating glass is mainly used for outer glass decoration. Its optical performance, thermal conductivity, sound insulation coefficient should be in line with national standards.
